An Explanation of How Word Medicine Works

Word Medicine

“Word Medicine" are reports designed to alter states-of-mind which in turn modify behavior and physical condition.  (Read Our Disclosure/Disclaimer.)

Word Medicine changes thought patterns at an unconscious level.

 Why Change Thought Patterns?

Our thought patterns effect emotions.  What we think unconsciously, determines how we feel.  In turn, emotion, including mood or "state", has an effect on everything we do, have and are.  When we feel good we behave in ways that serve us best.  Thought leads emotion and emotion is the precursor for behavior and physical condition.

THOUGHT   >>>>>>   EMOTION   >>>>>>   BEHAVIOR & PHYSICAL CONDITION

Emotions, including our attitude, have an impact on our health.  Basically, to function well, it is important to feel well mentally.  State-of-mind, emotion, mood, attitude … may be the most important ingredients in human function.  To feel well, it is essential to have the kind of thinking patterns that are administered to the unconscious mind through these reports.

How Do These Reports Work?

We are altering emotions and attitudes through words, with ourselves and with each other, all the time, whether we know it or not.  What we say causes different thoughts, which cause different feelings, which of course, brings on different behaviors.

WORDS   >>>>>>   THOUGHT   >>>>>>   EMOTION   >>>>>>   BEHAVIOR & PHYSICAL CONDITION

Interestingly, we all stimulate this chain of events through the same methods that are employed with these reports.  However, often the words we use indiscriminately end up being “thought viruses” and “limiting beliefs” that work against the recipient of those words, even if the speaker is our own internal dialog.

Fortunately, these reports are carefully, and deliberately designed to install presuppositions, (beliefs), that are empowering thoughts and healthy beliefs, universally accepted as positive and beneficial, such as to “be happy” and to “be kind”, as an example; fitting beliefs that cause us to feel well.

Students of semantics and linguistics along with students of behavior have discovered certain word arrangements that alter how humans are thinking.  These reports capitalize on those discoveries by purposely crafting a linguistic antidote that shifts negative thinking patterns into positive optimistic ones effortlessly.

Note that the thought patterns that are critical are at an unconscious level.  Most of the time we don’t realize what’s happening unconsciously, yet that is what matters most when it comes to emotion.   Pretending or acting “as if” we have the belief or attitude may work sometimes to eventually shift those thinking patterns over.  However, most of the time, we don’t know how to do that nor do we feel like “faking it ‘til we make it”.

Though these reports are technically not hypnosis, as most people would define, they do communicate to the unconscious as you are reading them.  Technically, everything we read communicates to our unconscious in some way, Word Medicine Reports accomplishes it with a specific objective as the goal.  And that objective is met out through meticulous and ardent well thought out sentences and paragraphs that are determined to help you realize that goal.

Of course, you have complete control of yourself because you are not going into a deep trance, but you do accept these positive beliefs and commands unconsciously because they are formulated in a way that are easy to take in as long you want to.  No one is controlling your thinking or opening your mind to any kind of danger or thoughts that can harm you.  Instead, you accept what you want to accept based on you deciding what you want.  No one will put the medicine down your throat if you don’t open your mouth.

Who Are These Reports For?

These reports are for anyone that wants to change their attitude, mood, emotions, health, thinking, and behaviors to one that the report has specifically been written for on that subject.

Though Word Medicine was originally designed for anxiety and depression you can find Word Medicine applied to almost any ailment.

Please read our disclosure/disclaimer before using Word Medicine: WordMedicine.com does not dispense medical advice nor prescribe the use of Word Medicine or any technique as a form of treatment for medical problems without the advice of a physician, either, directly or indirectly.

Consultation with your doctor is recommended before making any changes with prescribed medicines.

How To Get The Most Out Of Word Medicine Reports

  1. Determine which subject applies to you.

  2. Notice that there may be different degrees of emotion involved.  If it applies, be sure to use the report designed for the degree to which it applies to you.  You literally customize your emotions by choosing the appropriate report.  Identify the level of emotion and use the suitable report.

  3. Find a quiet uninterrupted location to read the report.  Read for six minutes or longer.  (Note: There are some who get a two to three level shift in less than 60 seconds.  In time you will notice the difference easily and perhaps get the change easily as well.)

  4. Take a few deep breaths, slow yourself down, and relax in a comfortable position.  Your posture is important.  Simply put, use the posture that fits the goal.  Chipper good moods call for an upright “chin-up” posture.

  5. Set intent.  This is one of the most important steps.  Setting intent means to literally make a deliberate decision and contract.  Decide with your mind and heart to have your objective, which is usually similar to the title of the report.  Actually say to yourself, either out loud or silently, “My intent is to …”, before you start reading.  When it is a true intent of the heart and mind you will achieve it with this process.

  6. Read with the best attitude you can muster up at the time determined to get what you want and pre-supposing that you are going to get it.

  7. After reading, again identify the level to which you have improved.  Most people easily improve two to four levels.  This step is important, since change, even powerful change, can be subtle or unnoticeable for many, especially when done with a process like this.  Prove to yourself that this system works by noting the level of your emotion before and after reading.

  8. Most of the reports are designed to read for six to ten days in a row because tests reveal that in most cases that’s how long it takes for the mind to learn a new habit of thinking.

  9. Read the report anytime there is a relapse into old negative thinking patterns.

More on How Word Medicine Works

How Words Change Thinking

Many like to know how the Word Medicine process works. How can they be so effective with just normal everyday words and sentences

Among other things, they use the simple Rules of Influential Language.

What are some of The Rules Of Influential Language?

I'll share three of them with you now.  This is some of the technical stuff.

Note that these rules work at an unconscious level.

Rule 1:  COMMANDS – We tend to apply what we are told if we are told in certain ways.  They are statements delivered in a way that causes us to obey without question.

One of the basic building blocks of a report that changes your state, is to have dozens and dozens of positive and beneficial COMMANDS embedded through out the writing that direct you to think positively.  This causes you to believe what you haven't been able to get yourself to believe on your own.

Rule 2:  PRESUPPOSITIONS – Presupposing is creating belief by assuming that the reader already believes in the positive outcome.  Because it is pre-supposed, it is believed.

We go along with what seems to be the thing to go along with.  (You may want to read that sentence again.)  The more you think about that statement, the more you know its true.  So then we adopt statements as true when they are presupposed in a sentence structure.

For there to be a shift in feelings then, you want to have instilled positive, uplifting beliefs about yourself, your environment, and your future potential.  This is effectively accomplished through frequent and liberal use of PRESUPPOSITIONS though out this "word-pill" document

Rule 3:  CAUSE-AND-EFFECT – Generally we believe a statement as true whenever there is a “cause” identified and associated to the outcome.  Because we accept the world as a "cause-and-effect" world we tend to believe anything as long as we are told what caused it.

Since CAUSE-AND-EFFECT language patterns are used frequently in this report to change your mood you find it easy to naturally accept healthy beliefs that benefit you. You can't help it, it's just how our minds work.

"Words" Are A Serious Business

These are perhaps three of the most common forms of influence in language.  Those who use these techniques purposely to hypnotize or manipulate other people don’t like that I expose and teach these secrets.

But, I do anyway.  I have been teaching my clients and seminar participants for years how this works, mainly, so that they wouldn’t fall prey to unethical controllers and manipulators.

However, I found that though it made them more aware of when someone was trying to manipulate them, interestingly, they didn’t learn to use the patterns themselves.  Again, like most self-help programs, it just seemed too complicated to get into.

And there are many other rules.  Obviously, there is a lot to this subject.

If these technical rules of language seem difficult to understand, you’re in good company.  Few really have interest in dissecting language to this degree.  But because, you may not care to understand everything about it, please DON'T make the mistake of UNDER-estimating the power of these principles.  It’s serious business.  Respect the awesome power of words and get them to work for you.

Do you have to learn how to use these patterns to improve your states of mind?

No.  In fact, knowing a lot about the technical application of these principles could actually get in your way of them working well for you.

Some of us get in our own way if the conscious part of our thinking isn't bypassed.  It's helpful to have an objective outside person, that directs us in the way we want them to.

Depending on our self to cause the mental shifts that would benefit us could be like trying to perform a form of surgery on ourselves.

And it's absolutely safe.

You see every word being communicated to you.  There are no hidden or “subliminal” messages.  Your conscious mind is working in harmony with your unconscious to accept and adopt healthy mental thinking patterns.

You simply read the pleasant statements within paragraphs at a natural speed and let the magic of your mind work in harmony with the message to get the emotional state you desire.

Sample It For Yourself

Here is a small sample.

Take it for a brief test drive and see if you can identify the commands, presuppositions, and cause-and-effect language patterns.

Undoubtedly, you believe in your future because you have suffered in the past.  As bad as you used to feel is proof of how much emotion you have available.  Realizing you have all that emotion proves that you believe you have a bright future.  As you are starting to improve your mood, you begin to realize your potential for happiness.

Because you're starting to realize potential happiness you  notice that it gives you hope, and it’s this glimmer of hope that causes you to experience positive in everything, and everywhere.  Which confirms your value.  Are you starting to become aware of your value, and awakened to your incredible worth again?

The more you think about this, the more you know you have hope.  And your realizing this hope, causes you to improve your mood, subtle as it may be.  At least you are starting to notice improvement subtle or not.

Now that certainly was easy, yet within those three paragraphs, there were 11 “commands”, 12 “presuppositions”, 6 “cause-and-effect” language patterns, and 4 other PERSUASIVE rules used.

Did you identify them?

Probably not most of them, because they are disguised.

You see the report is easy to read, and obviously, these three paragraphs by themselves aren't necessarily enough for most people to move out of a bad state-of-mind, but four pages of these kinds of patterns,  move anyone gently into a positive state-of-mind quickly.

How?

The unconscious picks up the patterns an eventually applies the message delivered within the pattern.  In approximately two to three pages you have hundreds of commands, presuppositions, and cause-and-effect patterns, as well as other techniques to effect state-of-mind.  Within minutes the mind can't help but apply the thoughts and beliefs being communicated.
