Below read a short article on anxiety.

Anxiety Behavior

During our lives we feel a range of emotions and anxiety is one of them. People usually assign emotions to the "bad" and "good" sides, but it's often not that simple. For example, fear can be a good and useful emotions, but just as well it can be a counterproductive one (compare different situations when you face a deadly snake and just before you have to go up on the stage and present something). So is anxiety, thought not as apparent as fear it's just as varied.

Anxiety is not bad by itself, it only becomes harmful when it becomes excessive. When your anxiety levels get out of hand it can suddenly become horrendous to perform certain tasks. Mostly I'm talking about increased anxiety overall, and not certain, more specific anxiety disorders, like phobias (where you have an irrational fear for something).

So, anxiety affects the way we think, thus affecting our emotions and, ultimately, our behaviors.

Anxiety behavior exhibited by anxiety sufferers might include chest pain, hyperventilation, dizziness, sweating and trembling, restlessness. All of these are natural tools in our bodies repertoires, however, if you were to have a panic attack, all of them would become magnified by a hundredfold and often uncontrollable. That's often very frightening for both you and onlookers.

Naturally, anxiety influences how a person acts. The way people usually deal with anxiety is by avoiding that specific situation which causes it in the first place. So, if public speaking is a very stressful even for you, you are very likely to avoid it at all costs. Pathologic cases, when forced to perform, might start drinking, smoking, develop sleep apnea begin speaking not normally and so on. All these anxiety behaviors are pretty common, but they should be addressed by a professional.

One of the components how people start to modify their behaviors during anxiety is their self talk. I'm talking about the inner voice that you talk to yourself all day long. You might say something like "everyone will laugh at me" before doing something, and voila, you screw up and everyone indeed laughs at you (or, more likely, not). But either way it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

Another aspect of anxiety behavior is a panic attack. It's basically normal symptoms multiplied. A person in the middle of an attack is usually overwhelmed by fear, can't rationally think and is more or less in a zombie state. Panic attacks can happen both suddenly or gradually.
